HYALURONIDASE

HYALURONIDASE

Hyaluronidase is the enzyme that causes the breakdown of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronidase injections are used when hyaluronic acid fillers needs to be dissolved.

Hyaluronic acid is the most common dermal filler used for the treatment of wrinkles, fine lines and folds, and for the enhancement of cheeks, lips, tear trough, chins and noses. When the body absorbs the fillers sets inaccurately, uneven or overfilled, injections with Hyaluronidase enzyme are used to cause the breakdown of hyaluronic acid and speed the body absorption of the fillers.

Areas of treatment

The most common areas of treatment are the lips and any areas where fillers have been inserted incorrectly, excessively or unevenly, or where nodules have developed.
